Each December I put up an advent calendar to get us into the spirit of the holidays. It’s had different iterations appearance wise- from a little paper village, to a physical calendar and now to these numbered bags that I tie to a blanket ladder.

Each day there would either be a little gift or an activity and they would be so fun to do to keep the magic going all month.

As the kids have gotten older, of course, things change and it gets harder to plan activities that everyone can partake in. School, after school activities or work make it challenging so instead of planning activities, they’ve been replaced with a riddle!

Each day there’s a new riddle and the first person to guess correctly gets a point. The one with the most points wins an extra something on Christmas day. 🎄
